NSDM – From an old shipyard to a cultural metropolitan square
From the 1920s to the 1980s, the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam was one of the largest shipyards in the world, regularly launching huge tankers from its wharves. Once this activity ceased, the spacious location and impressive scenery it creates, became a "home port" for music, art and other cultural events. The area hosts multidisciplinary festivals, performances, exhibitions, dance parties and a wide range of events in a unique post-industrial environment.
In the video I Took for you, you can see a glimpse of the NSDM complex and the unique STRAAT museum.

Bijlmer and Bullewijk are two close neighborhoods in southeastern Amsterdam and Zuidoost. These are two green and open neighborhoods. A kind of community integration in the atmosphere of a large urban park, combined with urban construction with hundreds of apartments in each block.
In May 2019, the Amsterdam Street Art Foundation organized a street art festival called "If Walls Could Speak". During the project, 10 huge and spectacular murals were created along housing blocks in East Amsterdam. Leading street artists were selected for the unique project and the only instruction they received was to create around the theme of "Amsterdam for Everyone.
