Independent street art tour in London
Camden Town is located within the London borough of Camden. Camden is known as one of London's unique neighborhoods that are not afraid to do things differently. This is a neighborhood with a hippie, punkish, alternative atmosphere, in the center of which is a huge market spread over a large area and built like a huge maze of shops alongside the famous Regents canal (in the market you will find mostly vintage, gothic and punk, but also food, tattoos, jewelry, clothes, accessories and more). The area is an oasis of alternative culture and is very popular with tourists, teenagers, and punks.
Camden is one of the London's main tourist destinations and the neighborhood's cafés are bustling throughout the day. The nightlife scene includes live performances in music clubs and pubs.
Camden's Central Market is divided in two. the first part is Camden Market and the second part is the Stables.
The market is built as a maze and you can easily get confused and not reach all of it. It is recommended to spend at least half a day in the neighborhood, markets, and street art – there is a lot to see and there is a situation that you do not want to leave.

The history of street art in Camden dates back to the 1980s when urban art began to become popular in Britain. The scene evolved greatly as artists such as Banksy, Inky and Stick began creating street art in Bristol, Manchester, and London. Street art began to be used to strengthen the neglected industrial areas, to allow them a new life – more color and less neglect. This urban activity has greatly helped neighborhoods like Camden and Shoreditch become the colorful and alternative neighborhoods they are today.
The Camden neighborhood is packed with tourists every day of the week, but especially on weekends (less recommended). Camden's markets are open every day of the week, from 8:30 to 18:00.
Graffiti and street art You can find mostly the small streets that form the neighborhood. Most of the streets come out of the direction of the market but not all of them – see the street art map of London to plan your Camden Town graffiti tour.
