Frank Shepard Fairey (born February 15, 1970, in Charleston, South Carolina) is a contemporary American street artist, graphic designer, activist, illustrator, and the founder of the streetwear brand OBEY Clothing, which originated in the skateboarding scene.
In 1989, while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, he created the "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign.
