designer, activist, illustrator, and the founder of the streetwear brand <a href=\"https:\/\/obeyclothing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OBEY Clothing<\/a>, which originated in the skateboarding scene.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">In 1989, while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, he created the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andre_the_Giant_Has_a_Posse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andre the Giant Has a Posse<\/a>&#8221; sticker campaign.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Fairey\u2019s style is described as bold and iconic, focusing on design and the idealization of imagery. He gained worldwide recognition for his iconic &#8220;Hope&#8221; poster, created during Barack Obama\u2019s 2008 presidential campaign, which became a symbol of optimism and political change.
