Along the Canal Saint-Denis, stretching from La Villette to Stade de France, lies an impressive urban art trail known as Street Art Avenue.This ongoing cultural initiative was launched ahead of Euro 2016 and has since gained tremendous momentum. Dozens of local and international artists were invited to transform the canal’s walls, bridges, warehouses, and abandoned buildings into a vibrant urban gallery. The result is a several-kilometer-long route that invites walking or cycling in an atmosphere completely different from that of central Paris.
