Is there a key message or theme in your works and what is it?
"Most of my works have a subtle message, depends on what and where I’m painting".
AME72 conveys his messages through smiling "toy dolls" reminiscent of LEGO characters and the topics he deals with are socio-economic: economic abundance, consumerism and commercialization. His graphic language is clear and sharp and can be recognized in seconds when encountering his work. His works look very optimistic and convey love in a variety of colors.
Do you make a sketch before working on the wall?
"I crest a sketch, scout a location then just go and paint it. mostly a mix of freehand spray paint and stencils".
What are your motives for creating in the public domain?
It’s like a big free art gallery with no restrictions.
Tell an interesting experience that happened to you while working on the streets?
"Whilst painting in England a few years back, I was mistaken for a famous Coronation Street actor. The guy couldn’t understand what I was doing spray painting on the street instead of filming in Granada Studios".
